We build tools around a defined user decision, a testable formula, and a useful result. Catalogue size alone is not a quality target.

Editorial Policy
How BoringToolsKit selects, sources, tests, reviews, and corrects its tools.
Formula and source review
Finance, tax, health, and scientific tools use authoritative sources where available. Volatile assumptions receive a visible review date and must be revisited when the source changes.
Testing standard
Our testing standard calls for reference inputs, invalid-state checks, mobile-layout checks, and production-browser execution for changed calculators. This policy is a stated standard, not a record that every tool has passed those checks. A successful build is not treated as proof that a calculator works.
Corrections
Potential errors are investigated against the formula, source, generated page, and live output. Confirmed errors are corrected and retested rather than silently explained away.
Commercial independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not change formulas, rankings, assumptions, or results. Sponsored recommendations are labeled and separated from the calculation.
Limitations
Results are estimates, not professional medical, legal, tax, lending, or investment advice. Tool pages identify material assumptions users should verify.
