Map listing fees, transaction charges, payment processing, shipping, advertising, and product cost before setting a selling price.

Model every cost layer
Marketplace fees are only one layer. Include payment processing, listing fees, ad charges, shipping paid by the seller, packaging, returns, and the cost of the product or labor.
Margin is not markup
Markup compares profit with cost; margin compares profit with revenue. A price with a large markup can still produce a modest margin after platform and fulfillment costs.
Keep fee assumptions editable
Platforms change fee schedules and rules. Treat published fees as time-sensitive inputs, verify the current policy for your account and market, and preserve a buffer for refunds or promotions.
