## Answer

Recurring meeting annual cost: estimate one meeting, then annualize a weekly recurrence from participants, duration, and loaded hourly cost.

## How it works

Annual hours = working hours per week × working weeks per year. Loaded hourly cost = annual compensation × (1 + employer uplift ÷ 100) ÷ annual hours. Meeting cost = meeting hours × attendee count × loaded hourly cost in blended mode, or meeting hours × the sum of individual loaded hourly costs. Annual cost = meeting cost × meetings per week × recurrence weeks per year.

## Worked example

For six attendees averaging $80,000 annually, 40 hours per week, 52 working weeks, a 30% employer uplift, and a 60-minute weekly meeting across 52 weeks, loaded hourly cost is $50 per attendee, the meeting costs $300, and the annual recurring estimate is $15,600.

## Assumptions

- Salary and uplift values are user-entered planning assumptions; verify what compensation and employer costs should be included for your organization.
- Meeting time is treated uniformly for every attendee and excludes preparation, follow-up, opportunity cost, and any value created by the meeting.
- Working weeks used for salary conversion and recurrence weeks are separate editable inputs because paid work-year assumptions may differ from the meeting schedule.

## Common questions

### What does employer cost uplift include?

It is an editable percentage for benefits, payroll costs, and other employer-paid compensation overhead. The calculator does not prescribe a rate; use a value appropriate to your planning scope.

### Why can I enter individual salaries?

Individual mode sums loaded hourly costs for the active compensation rows, which can be more representative when attendees have materially different pay assumptions.

### Does this tool store salary values or connect to a calendar?

No. Calculations run locally, no calendar or compensation API is called, and this tool has no scenario-save schema. Page-sharing actions do not include inputs or results.
