## How it works

General mode handles everyday arithmetic. Scientific mode adds trigonometry, logarithms, powers, constants, roots, factorial, memory, and DEG/RAD angle handling.

## Worked example

In General mode, 1 + 2 = 3. In Scientific DEG mode, sin(90) = 1.

## Assumptions

- Inputs are evaluated from the expression shown on screen.
- Degree/radian mode affects trig functions.
- Important financial, engineering, or scientific calculations should be independently checked.

## Common questions

### When should I use Scientific mode?

Use Scientific mode for trig, logs, powers, roots, constants, factorials, memory, or DEG/RAD calculations. Use General mode for simple arithmetic.

### Why does angle mode matter?

Trigonometric functions use the selected DEG or RAD mode, so sin(90) equals 1 in DEG mode but not in RAD mode.

### Are results sent to a server?

No. The calculation runs in your browser.
